SARAH

My son (year 9) has been tutored through Arc tutors for a while now. In the past, we have struggled with private tuition - where we could not verify the quality of the tutors and were unfortunate to have unqualified mentors. With Arc Tutoring my son has three different tutors and they are all terrific. I feel like he is finally moving in the correct direction with his studies.

Jane
PARENT

James was extremely enthusiastic in his teachings and very capable in conveying even the most complex ideas in an easy to understand way. Any problem that I had trouble with, he would go through in detail to find the answer, showing the correct working, and often implementing multiple different strategies, so I could find what worked best for me. Without James I doubt I would have achieved my 96.55 ATAR, and I have him to thank for a large portion of it. I highly recommend James' services through Arc Tutoring!

My son had been struggling with his transition into VCE mathematics. After speaking to other parents, we were recommended to try out Arc tuition. The management team was able to swiftly connect us to Eric, who has been enormously helpful. His patience and clear explanations while teaching was able to amplify my son’s engagement and interest in school. We seriously can not recommend Arc tutors enough.

Alice
PARENT

I was fortunate enough to be tutored by Dennis for Chemistry. He is very knowledgeable in all aspects of the subject and was considerate to my slower paced learning. His patience ultimately helped grow my confidence and refine my academic ability.

Do we offer online tutoring?

We prioritise the health of our students and tutors, that’s why we offer online tutoring on our premium tutoring platforms.

The primary aim at Arc Tutoring is to provide engaging and interactive lessons regardless of the medium our lessons are hosted on. Through our various teaching platforms and custom resources tailored for online learning, we are proud to say that we deliver online lessons that are just as effective as in-person tutoring.

Additionally, we have found that online tutoring offers several advantages over in-person tutoring. These include access to specialised online learning tools, as well as the convenience aspects of virtual lessons.

Is tutoring right for my child?

We believe that tutoring is the most beneficial educational tool that a parent can provide to their child. When teaching in large groups, teachers teach to aid the average student, bright and struggling students will be left behind. Private Tutoring allows all students to learn content at their own level and at their desired pace, increasing their learning effectiveness.

Here at Arc Tutoring our tutors are not only teachers, but also potential mentors. As university students, our tutors are able to understand the student perspective and engage with students; they are not only academic teachers but also relatable role models whom their students look up to.

Where is Arc Tutoring located?

Arc Tutoring is located throughout Australia. We teach mostly secondary school subjects from Maths, English, Science and Commerce. These included subjects from VCE, HSC, WACE, SACE, QCE and IB. If you are unsure, please get in contact with us at +61 423 096 732.

Are there any up-front or hidden costs?

There are no up-front or hidden costs at Arc Tutoring. It is our belief that students should never be forced to do a course simply because they have paid an upfront fee. On the contrary, for a limited time we are offering a free consultation session with a specialised tutor.

How often does does tutoring occur?

According to Harvard Business Review (Wilson, 2012) learning at the right time can improve its effectiveness. We find that setting aside a specific time in the week to regularly tutor is a very important aspect to tutoring. Students subconsciously learn their schedules and become more receptive to learning. This is why we highly recommend weekly lessons.

How do payments work at Arc Tutoring?

Arc Tutoring uses an online payment platform called TeachWorks where lessons and payments are processed automatically. From past parent feedback, it is a simple and easy-to-use platform. Your tutor will help you set up an account from where you can process payments from.
